So many things on my mind, I do not know what to write about. I have really been feeling "out there" the last couple of weeks. I feel as I have just been coasting along, there have been so many things going on.
I was supposed to open yesterday and close today. Andrea wanted to work with Missy yesterday morning setting the Halloween shop, so she traded with me. I closed yesterday and opened today. That gave me the opportunity to go to church tonight. If we wouldn't have made the switch I wouldn't have been able to go at all this weekend. I am sooo glad I had the opportunity to go. It was an excellant time of worship that really touched me where I needed it. Rick then preached on the Israelites journey from after they crossed the Red Sea untill they reached the promise land. It was about an 9 to 11 day jouney, yet it took the Israelites 40 years! The point is that God desired to make the Israelites a Holy nation, and he was more concerned with them getting it right then getting it done quickly. WOW! It is more about the journey then the destination. He further reinforced this with the observation that the Gospel is not about where we go when we die, but what we do while we are here. It was just so meaningful to me. We have to quit worrying about the end result, but learn from the lessons that are given to us on the way to the destination. I think that is what I really needed right now. Lately I have been so focused on getting into this non profit position that I have missed out on what God is trying to say to me.
All the STUFF that has been going on... the challenges at work with sales, personnel, impossible expectations, relationships on the edge, health issues of my own, family and close friends, legal issues, monetary concerns... God is still in charge. He will provide for our every need and he has a master plan that none of us knows or can understand.
I gues it has just given me alot to think about and ponder. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest!

Hey bro - don't think I shared this with you, but reading your entry reminded me of it. A couple of weeks ago @ New Community, Rob Wegner talked about how many of the heroes in the Bible went through a wilderness period before they entered into their ministry. The specific quote he had that grabbed me was "Maybe God wants to do something IN you, before He can do something THROUGH you." Wow!
